Established in Athens in 2015, the company combines strong scientific foundations with applied engineering expertise, with a particular focus on transforming research results and advanced technologies into practical solutions for operational environments.
Its commercial activities cover software development, system integration and specialised consulting, supporting organisations in areas such as data management, e-government, cybersecurity and privacy. A key strength of the company lies in its ability to bridge complex regulatory and technical requirements with real-world operational needs, helping organisations design and operate trustworthy digital systems.
On the R&D front, ICT abovo has extensive experience in European research and innovation projects, with participation in initiatives such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, and CERV, the latter in long-standing collaboration with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. These activities have helped shape the company’s expertise in areas such as data protection and privacy, distributed systems, workflow management, semantics and ontologies, digital twins, and asset traceability.
Company activities have so far resulted in some noteworthy state-of-the-art solutions, basically centred around two pillars: compliance by design in processes, data pipelines, and digital systems, and Digital Product Passports. These are currently embodied in two flagship offerings. goodFlows is a workflow engineering and access-and-usage-control environment supporting data governance and compliant workflows, while IntelliPass is its privacy-preserving Digital Product Passport platform, aligned with the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), supporting trustworthy product data management and controlled information sharing across digital value chains.
