Exalco S.A., one of the largest aluminium industries in Greece, was founded in 1973 in Larissa. Exalco is a comprehensive and dynamic industrial complex for the production of aluminium profiles, with endless abilities to meet all modern construction and architectural needs. Its building and industrial facilities (62,228 sq.m.) in Larissa, on privately owned land of 218,872 sq.m., include:
- Extrusion lines comprising 6 press assemblies, 1100 tonnes, 1600 tonnes, 1750 tonnes, 2200 tonnes, 2300 tonnes, and 2840 tonnes, with a production capacity of 60,000 tons per year, as well as an extrusion die manufacturing department.
- A surface treatment (anodising) line with fully automated machinery with a capacity of 6,000 tonnes per year, providing high levels of quality
- 2 vertical electrostatic coating lines with a production capacity of 22,000 tonnes per year a horizontal electrostatic coating line with a production capacity of 5,000 tonnes per year
- 2 electrostatic painting lines for wood-marble imitation using the V.I.V. Decoral method with a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year
Today, Exalco has 2 factories in Larissa with a staff of 600 people, 2 subsidiaries, Exalco Romania SRL in Bucharest, Romania, and Exalco Bulgaria SRL in Sofia, Bulgaria, as well as an extensive and well-established sales network with 12 branches and commercial partners, both in the domestic and international markets.
It is one of the largest export companies processing aluminium profiles, exporting 75% of its total production to all 5 continents.
Finally, Exalco has been recognised for its business excellence, values, and company success stories. In 2020 it was recognised for its exports and was awarded for its export activities and international presence with an EBEA award, while in 2021 it was awarded 8 prestigious prizes at the leading Aluminium in Architecture Awards, highlighting innovative construction projects created with EXALCO aluminium systems, both at a national and international level.
